New Hampshire woman digs up her father's grave
In a bizarre case, a woman in the state ofNew Hampshire dug-up her father's grave to look for what she alleged is his real will.
Melanie Nash, 52, insisted that he would have been 'okay' with. She is now accused of conspiring with three others to remove her father Eddie's remains from Colebrook Village Cemetery in New Hampshire during the month of May.
The grave of her father, who died of a heart attack aged 68 in 2004, was found to be broken with the casket opened and his remains ransacked. His body was left intact. The police officials said in a statement that the woman met Ginette Dowse, 71, Michael Day, 37, and David Grey, 57, to dig up her father's grave.
She believed that her father, who was a businessman, was buried with his real will. She said, "All this was done for the right reasons and I know my father would be OK with it. What we all did was to dig up my father's coffin, Eddie Nash, looking for documents. We did it with respect."
However, Nash found only a packet of cigarettes in his hand.
