anadian singer and songwriter Celine Dion took about a year off from her Las Vegas residency but it looks like the singing sensation will return back as early as August of this year.
The 46-year-old singer will reportedly be returning back to the Caesars Palace Colosseum with a whole new act, which will come as great news to anyone who has already seen the last one, said sources.
The singer in August 2014 decided to take a long off for her husband René Angelil as he battled cancer and had a throat tumor removed.
Sources familiar with the issue told that Dion herself was going through some health issues, when she got a sickness that caused inflammation in her throat. The singer took the issue quite seriously as naturally throat inflammation for a singer is a serious complication.
Dion said, “I want to devote every ounce of my strength and energy to my husband’s healing, and to do so, it’s important for me to dedicate this time to him and to our children”.
She further said that she would also like to apologize to all her fans across the world, for inconveniencing them, and would also like to thank them for their love and support.
The singer spoke to People Magazine about the intensity of her return. She said that it is quite emotional for her and presently she is anticipating the emotions to grow even more as the date gets closer.
She also expressed how much all of the support means to her. It is very touching and she promised that there will be high, happy notes.
Dion and Angelil have three children together. The singer was also interviewed by ABC news about her life and return to Las Vegas. The show will be aired on Google Morning America and Nightline next week.
