Foxboro driver charged in New Hampshire deadly crash
A 49-year-old Foxboro man has been charged in connection with a crash that killed his passenger Thursday night in New Hampshire, a spokesperson for the state police announced.
The crash along Route 16 was reported shortly before 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. The pickup truck crashed into a number of trees before coming to a halt. The accident left one person dead and the other injured.
The injured man was identified as Michael Sheehan, the pickup’s driver and a resident of Foxboro. He was rushed to the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. Doctors said he received serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The passenger was indentified as Stephen Bagley, a 48-year-old resident of Roslindale. He was pronounced dead by first responders on the scene.
Law enforcement agents took Sheehan into custody immediately after he was released from Androscoggin Valley Hospital. He was charged with negligent homicide and later released on a PR bail of $10,000.
The deadly crash remains under investigation. Investigators have urged anyone with information regarding the crash to immediately contact state police at 603-846-3333.
