A Manchester businessman who runs a burger and chicken eatery has announced an eye-catching decision to launch a special “ginger discount” for people who have ginger hair.
Mark Linaker, the operator of gourmet burger & chicken supplier Ginger’s Grill in Prestatyn, north Wales, announced that all “genuine redheads” would be able to enjoy a discount of 20 per cent off their meals when the restaurant would opens on Prestatyn High Street in April.
Mark, who divides his time between north Wales and Manchester, described himself as a former ginger, and added that he believed that gingers deserved a break.
Announcing the decision, Mark said, “I feel that gingers deserve a break, as one of my friends said to me, gingers have been getting stick for a long time now so it is time they got something back. I am a former ginger myself before I started losing my hair and decided to shave it all off so I know what it is like to be a ginger.”
The 39-year-old businessman, who also works for Mercedes Benz, has spent around a couple of years to develop the restaurant concept and finding the ideal site for the Prestatyn Ginger’s Grill, which will create 10 new jobs.
Mark, a former student of Prestatyn High School, has plans to take Ginger’s Grill further afield once the new restaurant in Prestatyn becomes well established.
