New Hampshire man fatally shot
New Hampshire State Police officials have confirmed that a 57-year-old man was shot and killed in his 22 March Hill Road home over the weekend.
Robert Wesley, who was a resident of Alstead, was found dead last Saturday night in his home. The case is being investigated by the New Hampshire State Police Troop C. The investigators have ruled the incident a homicide.
Sgt. William Dilegge said in a statement, “It’s currently be investigated by the New Hampshire State Police Troop C, as well as the Major Crime Unit, as well as the Cheshire County Attorney's Office and the state Medical Examiner's Office.”
Investigators remained at the scene of the incident until Sunday. An autopsy performed on the dead body showed that the victim died from a single gunfire wound to the head.
Police officials said the case remained under investigation, but there is no reason for panic as there are no concerns about public safety. No other details regarding the deadly incident were made public.
