Bigfoot is said to be a mythological ape or hominid-like creature. In North American legends, Bigfoot is generally described as a huge, hairy humanoid. Some people believe that Bigfoot really inhabit dense forests in the Pacific Northwest.

Saint-Gobain directed to provide bottled water to 400 N.H. homes & businesses

New Hampshire environmental regulators have directed Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Corp. to provide bottled water to 400 homes and businesses and cleanup groundwater contamination around its factory in Merrimack.

The state Department of Environmental Services said Saint-Gobain is liable for providing bottled water as well as for cleanup because its use of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) contaminated underground water within a one-mile radius of its Merrimack plant.

New Hampshire’s Executive Council on Wednesday approved the years-long effort that proposes to expand a Mount Sunapee ski resort, but opponents insisted that they fight the plan.

Members of the council voted 3-1 in favor of the plan. Colin Van Ostern, a Democrat, voted against the plan, while Republican Chris Sununu didn’t vote because he also runs another mountain ski resort in the state

New Hampshire lawmakers' decision of inclusion of an amendment in a severability clause for work requirements in House Bill 1696 has thrown the state at the altar of the federal government, Republican Rep. Allen Cook said.

On March 9th, N.H. House Speaker Shawn Jasper broke a 181-181 tie in favor of including the controversial clause for work requirements in HB 1696. Later, the Senate also approved the bill.

Republican Sen. Kelly Ayotte has confirmed that she will have a meeting with Supreme Court nominee Judge Merrick Garland next Wednesday, but declared that still believes that the Senate shouldn’t hold a confirmation vote until after a new president is elected.

The New Hampshire senator stressed that people should be given a voice in the important nomination of the Supreme Court justice through their votes in election scheduled to be held in November this year.

17-year-old kayaker rescued from Lake Winnipesaukee

A 17-year-old female kayaker who capsized because of high winds while paddling on Lake Winnipesaukee was successfully rescued by members of the New Hampshire State Police Marine, officials announced.

Without disclosing the name of the kayaker, officials said the girl was pulled by offers from the frigid waters of Jockey Cove off Wolfeboro just before noon on Sunday, April 3.

N.H. police on lookout for coyote that attacked three dogs

Police and wildlife officers in southeastern New Hampshire are frantically searching for a coyote that reportedly attacked and injured multiple dogs just outside Dover over the recently past weekend.

The coyote, a predatory canid native to North America, has injured at least three dogs. It first struck at around 4 a.m. on Sunday after a Somersworth woman let her two dogs out the rear deck of her Blackwater Road home.
