A mild excitement was created by the news of a robot escaping from the laboratory on June 15, 2016. A Russian-made robot, by the name of Promobot, managed to run away from its supervisors and resulted in traffic congestion on a suburban street of Russia. However, it seems like the incident of a runaway robot was faked to gain viral accomplishment. The complete scenario appeared to a perfect publicity stunt involving uncontrollable machinery, footage from a Russian dashcam and a sweet little robot.

On June 14, a private cargo ship left the International Space Station (ISS) and soon is going to host the biggest fire-in-space experiment conducted so far.

Built by Virginia-based Company Orbital ATK, the robotic Cygnus spacecraft undocked from the orbiting lab at 9:30 am. Around 2:30pm when there is safe distance between the freighter and the ISS, controllers on the ground will intentionally light a huge fire within Cygnus for testing how flames spread in microgravity.

After it was found that the account details of hundreds of millions of LinkedIn and Myspace users have been leaked, same thing is happening with Twitter. A Russian hacker with the name Tessa88 has unveiled on Tuesday of having details of 379 Twitter accounts.

In the details, the hacker has the information having email addresses, passwords and usernames. The hacker is selling the database for 10 bitcoins. It is also being said that the hacker has involvement in the hacking incidents involving LinkedIn and Myspace.

Toxic Air Pollution Unreported So far Spotted by NASA Satellite

A new satellite-based detection method has revealed 39 unreported and major human-made sources of toxic air pollution, key among them being sulfur dioxide (SO2) emitting coal-burning power plants; smelters; and oil and gas operations in the Middle East, Mexico and parts of Russia.

The new study, published online May 30 in the journal Nature Geoscience, has cited data from NASA's Aura satellite from 2005 to 2014 to red-flag the authorities concerned about sulfur dioxide, a gas that is a known health hazard and a major contributor to acid rain.

A Russian hacker has hacked more than 270 million email accounts, which include from Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo. The hacker, who calls himself ‘the Collector’, has said that he is selling the credentials in Russia’s criminal underworld.

Hold Security, the agency which has discovered the breach, has unveiled that the accounts have 1.17 billion records. After removing the duplicates, it discovered 272.3 million compromised accounts. Majority of the credentials belong to the Russian email service, Mail.ru.
