Nashua woman arrested for trading drugs for stolen merchandise

A Nashua woman was arrested and slapped with various drug charges as part of a police investigation into the sale of banned substances from her home, authorities confirmed on Wednesday.

Police launched an investigation into Lisa Dorval’s activities in January this year, after receiving multiple reports and complaints about a high amount of toot traffic coming in and out of her home at 14 Merrill Street in Nashua.

The Concord man who was wanted by police for shooting an 8-year-old boy is in critical condition after suffering injuries during an officer-involved shooting in Fairfield on Monday, authorities confirmed.

James Jarrard, a 32-year-old resident of Concord, Jarrard, had been had been evading officers all weekend. He was wanted for allegedly gunning down a boy in a drive-by shooting in North Concord.

The officer-involved shooting occurred in the Lowe’s Home Improvement hardware store’s parking lot. The hardware store is situated in the 3400 block of North Texas.

A superior county judge recently ordered the release of Robert Bates, who has a history of sexual violence toward minors, into the East Bay community. The judge ruled that Bates had to be released from a hospital to Contra Costa County, and the state officials notified Concord city authorities that the sexually violent predator would live at motels around the city.

Concord police arrested a man for failing to return a 2002 VHS rental movie, and slapped him with a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $200, authorities confirmed.

As James Meyers was taken into custody more than 14 years later, the story of his arrest went viral after local news outlets broke the news late Wednesday night. The movie in question that Meyers failed to return in 2002 is “Freddy Got Fingered.” The accused man said he initially thought that he officer who came to arrest him was joking.

Avery Morrow and Miguel Perez, 21 and 35-year-old residents, respectively, of 161 West Hollis St. were arrested after a team of law enforcement agents from Nashua and Hudson police department s raided an apartment on Friday last week.

As per available information, Michelle Upshaw, a 29-year-old resident of Commonwealth Avenue in Concord, was indicted for felony possession of a controlled drug diazepam in Nashua in October 2015.

As drone sightings are stubbornly becoming more and more frequent at state prison and corrections facilities in New Hampshire, concerned officials believe that these unmanned flying objects could be used to drop drugs or weapons for the inmates.

Late on February 9th last month, a drone was spotted multiple times hovering above the staff parking lot above the correctional facility in Concord. Drones were spotted hovering above the facility on nine different occasions over the past six months.
