Nashua man charged with heroin possession in Manchester

A 28-year-old Nashua man was taken into custody and charged with heroin possession on Monday after several people reported that a man driving a truck in the area had a needle in his hand.

After receiving several calls that a man with a needle in his hand was driving in the Amoskeag Rotary area, Officer Ryan Boynton located the truck in the area of Pine Street and Lake Avenue at around 4:20 p. m., half an hour after receiving the initial call.

The driver of the 2002 black GMC Sonoma, identified as John Lozeau of 21 Ferson St., Nashua, was pulled over for failing to use a turn signal.

A 33-year-old gangland banker who conspired with another man for laundering nearly £200,000 has finally been put behind the bars, authorities confirmed.

Osman Rashid waited for five years to admit that he was involved in a conspiracy with Nouman Tariq, a 39-year-old businessman from Rochdale, to launder money. Tariq was jailed in 2013.

Rashid and Tariq together ran a cross-pennine money laundering scheme, allowing drug gangs in Bradford and Liverpool to hide the origin of their sums of cash by laundering the money through supposedly legitimate businesses in Manchester.

New Hampshire police investigating fatal snowmobile crash

New Hampshire police investigators are probing a fatal snowmobile crash that left a 51-year-old man dead in the small town of Stark in North Country last Saturday.

Police received a 911 call at around 6:30 p.m. from a homeowner who reported that a snowmobiler came to them and said there had been a crash and asked for help, but the snowmobiler did not specify where the crash occurred.

The snowmobiler left without leaving a name or any other information about the deadly crash. After receiving the emergency call, state police notified the state Fish & Game Department.

Katlyn Marin, a Nashua woman accused of killing her own 3-year-old daughter, had used heroin on the night of the alleged crime, new documents filed with the Hillsborough County Superior Court alleged.

Marin, 26, was charged with second-degree murder and manslaughter for purportedly assaulted her little daughter Brielle Gage multiple times on 24th and 25th of November 2014 at their home on Oak Street.

Police detectives are frantically searching for a man who allegedly deliberately set a woman on fire in Manchester, authorities have confirmed.

Fifty-year-old Stephen Archer is wanted by law enforcement in connection with the attempted murder of a woman who was found in the city’s New Heath area last month with serious burn injuries.

The 49-year-old victim is reportedly the sister of the suspect. Officials said the woman suffered 70 per cent burns to her body and that she was transported to a specialty hospital in an air ambulance. Her condition is still critical.

A Republican lawmaker from Nottingham, New Hampshire, is facing serious felony level sexual and drug distribution charges.

Nottingham Police Chief Gunnar Foss confirmed on Wednesday that State Rep. Kyle Tasker has been accused of using Internet to lure a 14-year-old girl for sex in addition to drug distribution allegations.

A warrant for searching Tasker’s home at 87 Smoke St. was issued Tuesday night. Foss stressed that the lawmaker’s stature, social status didn’t matter to him, and he would do his job.

A Concord woman on Tuesday described in a court how a man she had never met before brutally raped her for hours as she was helplessly attempting to fight him off and screaming for her life.

Testifying in the court, the woman said she had just returned to her one-bed room apartment in Concord from a weekend trip out of town in May 2000, when she heard a thumping sound and within minutes encountered an armed man.
