Two Manchester men arrested after shooting at company cafeteria

Two young men from Manchester were on Friday arrested and charged with reckless conduct and careless discharge of a firearm, Londonderry police confirmed.

Police said officers reached Highland Forwarding Company located on Kitty Hawk Landing just after 2:30 p. m. yesterday after they were reported that a bullet was fired through the window of the company's cafeteria.

After taking necessary precautions to make sure the safety of people in the building, the officers started searching the area around the building. Additional shots were fired in the area even as the search was underway.

Janelle Westfall, then 18, was arrested by New London's former police chief David Seastrand, then 50, on 2nd of March, 2013. She was taken into custody while walking home after a party. The police chief charged her with giving a false name and possession of a beer can.

Police confirmed that three firearms, including two handguns and a shotgun, were stolen from unlocked cars parked on Greenwich and Mulberry streets.

Officers responded to a home at around 7 a. m., after a man reported that when he was leaving for work, he found that his glove box was open and two of his guns that he had kept in the car on the previous night while parking at 11:30 p. m. were stolen.

Thieves rob Concord Salvation Army of $4,000 worth of gifts

The Salvation Army in Concord is in "desperate mode" as thieves robbed the charity of more than $4,000 worth of toys and other gifts that it intended to distribute among the needy families.

The charity reported that unknown people stole all donations from the storage box in the parking lot of its Concord Corps Community Center at 3950 Clayton Road.

The robbery took place sometime either late last Thursday or early Friday morning, just days before the gifts were to be distributed.

On Thursday, at around 9.55 pm, San Bernardino County Fire Department officials received multiple reports of explosions coming from a Fontana pallet yard.

Reports came in of smoke with flames showing in the nearby area, some seen from over a mile away from the location. As soon as the information came, two fire engines were dispatched to 13787 Santa Ana Avenue near Mulberry Avenue in Fontana in response to a fast growing blaze, which was at a local 4-acre pallet yard.
