Uber urges N.H. lawmakers to introduce statewide regulations for ride-sharing dr

Executives for the ride-sharing service provider Uber have urged lawmakers to pass a measure that would establish statewide regulations for such companies’ drivers.

Uber executives push comes in response to wide differences in how drivers are regulated across New Hampshire cities. While Portsmouth regulations require Uber drivers to have insurance and undergo city-approved background checks, competitors in some other cities are not subject to similar regulations.

Insufficient Evidence Prompts Britain High Court to Rule against a Woman to Have

An elderly woman has lost the legal battle after the Britain High Court ruled against her, in a case where she sought permission to mother her deceased daughter's child.

In a first-of-its-kind judgment this Monday, Justice Ouseley, ruled that the 59-year-old unnamed mother could not use her dead daughter's frozen eggs to have grandchildren. The deceased, called 'A' for the purpose of maintaining anonymity, died in June 2011 of cancer, at the age of 28. She had her eggs frozen at the age of 23, following her bowel cancer diagnosis and had asked her mother to act as surrogate.

Next, he made over 250 drug buys while deployed as an undercover narcotics agent, while led to his shift to the department's Intelligence Division.

Cleveland officials and the US Department of Justice have announced a settlement on how the city's police can be reformed.

As a part of the agreement, police officials will be adopting many changes for the betterment of the force. By the end of 2015, the city's police officers will be required to wear body camera. Officer training on the use of excessive force will also be increased.

A US federal appeals court on Friday gave a ruling saying that tobacco companies cannot be forced to make public announcements that they intentionally mislead the public over health risk of cigarettes.

The US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit ruled against the manufacturers on several other issues as it considered a long-running case brought by the US government against various companies including Altria Group Inc, Lorillard Inc and Reynolds American Inc.
