Venus lost its oxygen to strong electric wind that pushed gas into space

A new NASA video has described that a strong electric wind on Venus took away planet’s oxygen into space. Venus is a planet with an average temperature of 860 degrees Fahrenheit (460 degrees Celsius), which makes it hot enough to boil all oceans to alter them into water vapors. The planet may have water that had evaporated from its surface due to high temperature.

Areas lying along San Andreas fault in California are shrinking and rising

A research paper published in journal Nature Geoscience has unveiled certain parts of California present along the San Andreas fault are sinking and other parts are rising at the same rate. These changes taking place owing to seismic strain will result into a large earthquake.

Study researchers have affirmed that the Sand Andreas fault is considered to be the longest earthquake fault and one of the most dangerous one in the state. The act of sinking and rising is taking place in the parts of California on a very slow rate.

Pluto might be having a liquid ocean underneath its frozen exterior

A new research paper published in Geophysical Research Letters has suggested that Pluto might be having a liquid ocean underneath its exterior. The researchers speculated the same after going through the data by NASA's New Horizons spacecraft, which did not show contraction in the surface.

Study’s lead researcher Noah Hammond from Brown University has come up with the findings after assessing the data from the New Horizons mission. On the basis of the evaluation, the researchers have developed a thermal computer model of Pluto’s evolution.

Stars that led to creation of first gravitational waves might have formed way back in past

Scientists at the LIGO Observatory created history by announcing the first ever detection of gravitational waves. The ripples were said to have come from two black holes. A new study published in the journal Nature has unveiled about the likely origins of those black holes. As per them, those black holes came from two massive suns formed around 12 billion years ago.
